Since You Last Felt Like You Were Home

I thought you were home.

Since You Last Felt Like You Were Home was a performance lecture written and staged for Queer Theory Glasgow’s 3rd birthday. Using a college of performance writing, academic theory, autobiography, materials, and lip-sync, Conner reflected on the idea of ‘home’ and what that means for queer people.

The performance writing incorporated original autobiographical text recounting a failed relationship, found text from Maya Angelou, Rolling Stone, and Jason Bryant’s The Meaning of Queer Home.

The finale was a lip sync performance directed at the branch to First Aid Kit’s Nothing Has To Be True where the performance gets its title from.

It was performed in April 2019 at Nice ‘n’ Sleazy’s, Glasgow.
